Crowns, Bridges, Veneers, and Inlays/Onlays

Our dentists provide numerous solutions for damaged or decayed teeth. Crowns and bridges are custom-fitted tooth prosthetics that are meant to both mimic the function and appearance of a normal tooth. Veneers are a less invasive alternative, but may only be a solution for those with slight tooth damage or discolouration. These thin porcelain or resin shells come in customizable colors and are bonded to the surface of your teeth.

Crown

A crown (or dental cap) is a custom-fitted cover that is placed over your natural tooth or dental implant. Unlike fillings or dental inlays, crowns cover your entire tooth and are usually reserved when an individual still has an intact tooth without root rot, but may be damaged or decayed on the surface in which a filling would not suffice.

Bridge

A bridge replaces a missing tooth that is held in place by abutment teeth on either side of the missing tooth. They are usually made by porcelain in order to blend in with your natural teeth.

Veneer

Veneers are very thin, porcelain or resin shells that slide onto your teeth and are meant to cosmetically fix your teeth which includes (but is not limited to) masking chips, hiding stains, correcting misalignment, etc. These are non-invasive, resistant to future stains, and long lasting.

Inlay/onlay

Porcelain inlays and onlays are an alternative to composite fillings that support weakened molars or back teeth. They are much more durable than composite fillings meant to withstand heavy chewing while also carrying the appearance of natural teeth.
