Root Canal

Each one of our teeth contains a large dental pulp that extends down to the roots and provides nutrients to the tooth. When a pulp becomes infected, however, nerves and possibly the tooth itself are destroyed. A root canal removes the pulp and nerve to save a badly damaged or infected tooth. The procedure involves the drilling into the tooth’s crown, the reshaping or extraction of the problematic nerves, and sealing the dental crown.
